Marriage Acrostics

An acrostic is a creative way to add content to your wedding ceremony. You can take any word and Stephen will take each letter and create a series of words or sayings related to each letter to spell out relational words you want your marriage to reflect. Here is a sampling of marriage acrostics that Stephen Simmons created for couples he married.  Each is unique and personal and is always enjoyed by all in attendance. You can use one of these as is or we can create one especially for you.  Some couples have taken this special word after their wedding and framed it for a special memory of their wedding ceremony.

Most couples will share a few sentences or story on why the word they’ve selected is special to them. Come up with your own word or add words for each letter in the word to personalize your acrostic.

As with patience, humor is something everyone needs to make it through life.  William James wrote: “Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing.”  As both of you look back on that first day when you met, it is with humor (common sense) that you both could say, we should get to know one another.  Let’s take a look at the word HUMOR and let each letter remind you of something that will help you in your marriage.

FATE

Groom and Bride were two complete strangers who bumped shoulders while they were out and about with their friends one fateful night. Both of them had no idea that first encounter would lead them to where they are today. So, perhaps it was FATE that brought them together? A Roman Emperor wrote “Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart.”

Let FATE remind you of some of these elements that will help you in marriage:
